SCREEN RANT – A new image from Captain America: Brave New World showcases Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres ready for action in the first of several Marvel Studios productions coming to theaters worldwide in 2025.
A followup to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series on Disney+, Brave New World is a Marvel Phase 5 story that sees Wilson and Torres embrace their new titles of Captain America and Falcon, respectively.
ScreenRant shares this exclusive still from Captain America: Brave New World as part of our 2025 movie preview which also includes a new look at Disney’s Snow White. Shield in hand, Anthony Mackie finally gets the chance to lead his own Marvel feature film and rub it in Tom Holland’s face. What visually stands out in our image reveal is the red color scheme, a visual theme of the film which introduces Red Hulk to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, played by Harrison Ford who steps into the role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, previously played by William Hurt.
The image depicts Wilson and Torres in the field exploring a workshop of sorts, and while they don’t have their supersuits, Wilson does have his trusty vibranium Captain America shield.

Brave New World May Setup the MCU’s Future Avengers
After an unusual year for Marvel Studios with 2024 seeing just one theatrical release from the production company, a project whose origins stem back to the pre-acquisition Fox side of Marvel Entertainment, 2025 is a return to form for MCU’s familiar output on the big screen with three releases. Captain America: Brave New World launches the 2025 slate early with a February release, followed by the unique and mysteriously titled Thunderbolts* in May. And later in the summer, we get the long-awaited introduction of Marvel’s first family with The Fantast Four: First Steps.
Brave New World represents a milestone moment for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, representing the first solo titled film where another character has picked up the titular mantle. With Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers out of the picture since Avengers: Endgame, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson gets to lead the next adventure. The film also has the responsibility of addressing the current status of the Avengers team and laying groundwork for their future, as teased in the film’s marketing materials.
